Description
Description:AD8309 is a 500 MHz detection logarithmic amplifier based on continuous detection technology, suitable for received signal strength indicator (RSSI) and phase detection in cellular base stations, radars and other radio transceiver applications.
The device provides a dynamic range of 100 dB, an accuracy of ±0.4 dB in the middle 80 dB range, and an operating frequency of up to 500 MHz. The logarithmic output is proportional to the logarithm of the input signal and can provide a 0.4 V to 2.5 V DC signal within a 100 dB input range. The device also provides a limiter output that can amplify the input signal by 100 dB and provides a stable limiter output with a maximum phase deviation of ±100 ps. This limiter output is useful for demodulating FSK and PSK modulated signals.
