Description:BMP390 can provide unparalleled accuracy for the height tracking function in smart phones and wearable and ear-wearable devices. Thanks to the improved resolution, the new BMP390 can measure height changes below 10 cm, and the accuracy is 50% higher than the previous generation of sensors. Accurate height detection can realize positioning function indoors where GPS signals cannot cover. By adding a specific vertical position to the existing horizontal information, the first responder can determine the floor of the smartphone user who triggered the emergency call.
The typical relative accuracy of BMP390 is +/-0.03 hPa, which is better than any other similar products on the market today and the typical absolute accuracy can reach +/-0.5 hPa. Its excellent accuracy is due to significant improvements in temperature stability, drift behavior and noise reduction. This sensor has ideal temperature stability in the complete operating temperature (0 to 65°C) and pressure (700 to 1100 hPa) ranges, and the average temperature coefficient offset (TCO) is only +/-0.6 Pa/K. In addition, its noise is also extremely low, only 0.9 Pa, which is 25% lower than the previous-generation BMP380 model. The device also has high long-term stability and low short-term and long-term drift.
